I am looking for someone to take over my room in a two-bedroom flat (new townhouse) in Island Bay Erskine Complex, near the old Erskine chapel.
The place was newly built in 2020 and is in a cosy, quiet townhouse complex. It has plenty of safe, off street parking options and a one-car garage that you can share and there's also enough indoor storage space for bikes and outdoor gear.
It is a 5 min walk to the number 1 bus route, 3 min drive/12 min walk to Island Bay beach, 5 min walk to New World and a couple great cafes and Empire cinemas. It is such a good location especially for during summer time! It's also only a short drive or bike ride to Lyall Bay and about a 45 min walk or a short cycle to Wellington Hospital.
A little about who you'd be living with (who is also the landlord and currently overseas until November) - she's a doctor in her late 20s working between Hutt and Wellington Hospital who is reasonably social and loves a quiet get-together but not too rowdy, and is very keen on the outdoors. A good flat meal together is also great. I love baking, cooking, painting, running/walking, tramping, cycling, meeting friends at church and spending time at the gym. From September to November you'd be living with a wonderful young professional woman who is renting her room until the landlord gets back from overseas.
When: Available from November 25, 2026
Rent is $290/week plus expenses (may increase to $300/week, tbc).
