Recently some rooms at my current flat have become available for some new tenants. This is a lovely house in Bishopdale area which is two blocks from the supermarket and close by to a couple bus stops. I have two rooms currently available. THis listing is currently focusing on the master bedroom which is a spacious room with an ensuite and walk-in wardrobe.
Some information about the current flatmates:
A 16 y/o Lady who is currently attending high school, she is really into her brass instruments and attends practices and concerts outside of the house. She keeps to herself, but joins in for conversation around the dinner table.
Then there is me, a 27 y/o Male who is currently working full time as a Software Developer. I look after all the rental needs of the house, I enjoy going for outdoor activities like hiking, cycling, running on Sat's, swimming on Wed's and am a very bright and supportive fellow. Often you will find me out in the garden or out doing one of the above. I love cooking exquisite meals from Indian curries, Chinese stir-fry's to stews during the cooler months.
How does the rosters work?
As a flatmate, you have the responsibility to provide a meal for the entire flat once or twice a week. We all gather around the table during dinnertime ~6:30-7:30pm, have nice conversations across the table then continue with our personal activities as we feel. You will also be rostered on a day or two to cleanup for the cook's dishes. General rental expenses will be sorted out by me as the head tenant, and you will help put in a portion of cash each time the rental account is getting low for supplies, meaning we all share the load equally.
What are we looking in a flatmate?
I would like to find someone who is supportive of the current flatting arrangement, the fact that we have a younger lady in the house. You are respective of the environment you're in and would like to be included in flatting events with us too. I often organise outing events on the weekend when they pop up on the ChCh council events site. This can cover things like the Canterbury Food Show, Jazz events, Ballets, and many other festival and fun events we can do as a flat family.
