🌱 Live Differently. Grow Deeply. Have Fun. 🌱
Looking for more than just a flat? Welcome to Good Dirt, an intentional Christian community house for young adults in ÅŒtautahi Christchurch.
Good Dirt is a missional community, renewed yearly, supported by St Martin’s St James Anglican Church. It offers a shared life shaped by prayer, discipleship, and service, for young adults who want to grow closer to Jesus while studying or working.
The community is based at 200 Riccarton Road, a character-filled 1920s home nestled in the heart of Riccarton. Set among established trees and gardens, with a generous lawn, the house offers a surprising sense of calm and green space despite being close to the university, shops, and public transport.
Living at Good Dirt is about learning to follow Jesus in everyday life. We gather for simple morning and evening prayer, weekly house nights, shared meals, and regular service in the wider community. Each resident is also supported by one-on-one mentoring to reflect on faith, leadership, and life.
The house is a supportive, family-style environment grounded in values of whakawhanaungatanga (connection), kotahitanga (unity), manaakitanga (hospitality), and aroha. It’s a place to grow in faith, deepen relationships, and develop as a person and leader—without pressure to have it all figured out.
If you’re looking for more than just a place to live, and are open to being formed through community and shared rhythms, we’d love to hear from you.
(Rent includes internet, electricity, basic food items and utilities)
