Kia Maia International Students Christian Hostel for University Students is a communal space right in the heart of Wellington City. Situated only a 10min walk to Victoria University, this 10bedroom villa has hosted many International students over the last 30 or so years. We have students from China, Cambodia, Taiwan, Mongolia, the Pacifc etc. You don't have to be a Christian to live here, we welcome all faiths. Currently there are 6 us living communally, we can host up to 15. It is not a boarding situation more like a "home away from home" situation.
The rent you pay covers a bed, desk and chair, lamp, wardrobe, mirror, wifi, food, and power.
We have singles rooms, as well as shared single rooms. Prices for rooms vary depending on whether it's the summer period or the uni year.
$230 during the summer which is now 7th Jan- Feb 15th 2026 (this is without food).
$395 during the university year Feb 16th - 16th November 2026.
