Looking for a flatmate (or two) to share my 1950s bach at the Mount. Short-term or long-term; male or female or a married couple. It’s a small house, and more character than modern, but has a cosy holiday feel - with a big backyard, mature fruit trees and a woodburning fire.
You'll be a 1km walk from the beach, directly back from the Omanu surf club. Bus-stop right outside. The room is medium-sized, fully furnished (furniture not bed linen) with lots of light and storage.
Me: early 50s, working part-time from home. I enjoy reading, music, cooking, hiking, seeing new places, politics, Bible study, natural health. I'm an early bird who also stays up too late; I like both good conversation and time on my own; my recycling system is apparently excessive:-)
You: ideally you’ll be working fulltime (or at least 9-3), share a similar faith & values, clean and tidy, happy to share the usual household chores. Any age considered: I've had flatmates from 19 to late 50's so far. My most recent (and truly awesome) flatmate was a 29-year-old 'Brazilian kiwi'. You'll also be sharing with my one-year-old rescue dog, a lab cross who barks very loudly at visitors/strange noises, but is otherwise very chilled around the house.
Rent: $265/week includes all bills: unlimited wifi, rubbish, reasonable use of power and water, and also lawns at present. It also includes a few communal supplies, eg detergent, toilet paper.
If this sounds like somewhere you’d like to live for a while, write and tell me about about you - detail is good! - and we can go from there.
