I am looking for someone to come and join me in my home - my current flatmate is moving after two years. I'm 34, a secondary school teacher, attend Lifepoint church and enjoy pilates, reading, photography, painting, and TV shows among other things! My home is an 80s townhouse with heaps of character in a great part of Newtown. It's close enough to the wonderful centre of Newtown while still feeling like a retreat. Nice and close to Mt Victoria and other green spaces. The room is a double which can come furnished with a bed, lovely and sunny in the afternoon all year round and is double glazed.
I am hoping to find a new flatmate who is preferably female in their late 20s or 30s. It would be great if you are up for cooking together a couple times a week and wanted to spend a bit of time hanging out - not just happen to live together.
It's a periodic lease with six weeks notice though I would like someone who is thinking more long term. Move in would be around mid-January. Expenses are about $40 a week and there is a mix of free parking on the street or you need to get a parking permit which is $199 a year but you can also pay it monthly.
