Looking for a unique, community living experience in inner city Wellington?
We have a number of spaces for flatmates in our iconic, bright yellow, Stillwaters Community house (known as the Castle). Rooms are available at $250 per person, which includes electricity, gas, internet and household groceries. The house is well set up, and has established rhythms of connection with the wider community that we invite all household members to be part of as much as they are able to. Regular community activities happen downstairs, separate from the residential area. These include a shared community meal on Friday evenings, and a community church service on Sundays. These are supported by a wider group of people.
Downstairs there is a large community room / kitchen, small chapel room, bathroom, basement with table tennis and lots of room to hang out and a garage / workshop area. There are two upstairs levels with accommodation, as well as a house lounge, kitchen, and bathrooms. There is also a small garden area out the back and a shared washing line with the lovely neighbours next door.
There are 3 bedrooms available now. We welcome interest from individuals, couples, and families, who are keen to be part of a caring Christian community.
Close to everything that Wellington has to offer, whether that's work, study, the beach or the beautiful hills surrounding the city.
Come and help us lift up and love those who struggle on the edges of our communities. No experience or qualifications needed, just a willingness to learn, a capacity for caring, and an openness to embrace the diverse and complex world we live in.
