We’re a warm, faith-based family looking for a female flatmate who values a friendly environment, open communication, and a place that genuinely feels like home — not just somewhere to stay.
About Us: We’re a family of four (two children, 6 & 8). Nadine works in education and Martyn in digital design. Faith is important to us and we’re part of a local multicultural church community.
We share chores, occasionally share meals, and we set aside a simple weekly cup of tea to stay connected and chat through anything if needed.
You’re welcome to invite friends and family over, and you’re also welcome to join us when ours visit — there’s no need to disappear when life is happening.
The Home: Our character villa sits on a rural lifestyle block with gardens, visiting horses, and plenty of birdlife (Pukekos, Tuis, Kererū). It’s private and surrounded by nature — with the normal hum of family life that comes with two children.
The Location: Country feel, yet close to everything:
Drury – 7 mins
Papakura / train station – 10 mins
Takanini – 15 mins
Manukau – 20 mins
Airport – 35 mins
Mountain biking and tramping are nearby in the Hunua Ranges. Clevedon markets, beautiful beaches, and Miranda Hot Pools are all within easy reach.
Who We're Looking For:
You’ll likely be a great fit if you:
Are comfortable around children and family life
Value respectful, honest communication
Are independent, but open to occasional shared meals or connection
Appreciate a home where people look out for each other
This probably won’t suit someone looking for a party flat or a purely transactional living setup.
You’ll have your own private space, and we value a home where people feel comfortable engaging openly. Being at ease around children is important — there’s no expectation of babysitting, just enjoying a family environment.
Rent and Expenses: $235 per week total ($190 rent + $45 weekly expenses) Paid one week in advance.
Food: Food is separate, with the option to share meals with our family if you’d like. Optional shared dinners (~$75/week if joining regularly) or you’re welcome to cook independently.
Bond: Three weeks' rent ($570).

If this sounds like a good fit, please send a short introduction about yourself, your typical week and what you value in a home environment. We look forward to hearing from you 🙂
